Udesh Indula Derana Dream Star.

Seventeen-year-old Udesh Indula of Morontuduwa created history on Friday night when he clinched the first-ever Derana Dream Star trophy at the packed Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.Udesh emerged victorious after months of several rounds of stiff competition involving thousands of competitors.
Milinda Sandaruwan and Nilupuli Dilhara were adjudged the first and second runners up respectively while the rest of the final 10 also received Rs. 100,000 each.Derana Dream Star Udesh Indula received Rs. five million worth of prizes including Rs. 2 million in cash and a brand new Maruti Suzuki Swift car worth Rs. 2.8 million.Milinda Sandaruwan won Rs. 500,000 in cash and other prizes while Nilupuli Dilhara received Rs. 250,000 in cash.Veteran singers Nirosha Virajini, Keerthi Pasqual and Rohana Bogoda were the adjudicators of the programme while young actor Amila Abeysekara was the compere.
Among the final ten competitors were Kamani Lasanthika, Shan Hashim, Poorna Sachintha, Prince Sanjaya, Chinthaka Malith, Chinthaka Jayasinghe and Sachintha Devanarayana.
