Fallon Crowned Derana Veet Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World 2010

22 year old Fallon Ransinghe was crowed Derana Veet Sri Lanka for Miss World 2010 which was held at the Mt.Lavina Hotel. Fallon will now have the privilege of representing the country in the forthcoming Miss World pageant 2010 which is to be held in China. The evening was full of gilts & glamour and was entertaining. Fallon is a past pupil of All Saints’ College Borella. A resident in Kelaniya Fallon has been in the modeling field for few years now and currently following a Diploma in Graphic Designing. Shashini Rajpaksha was adjudged the 1st runner up while Shashi Fernando placed 2nd runner up. 12 of the most beautiful young ladies were selected for the finals and would have been a really tough task for the judges to select a winner from them. The judging panel comprised of eminent personalities such as Rosey Senanayake, Rajendra Theagarajah, Shivanthini Dharmasiri Burr, Irwin Weerakody, Anjali Krishnan, Chandraguptha Thenuwara, Bathiya Jayakody.

Apart from the main event, several mini pageants were held during the run up to the finals. The winners of these pageants were announced at the finals. The winners as follows,
