Derana takes reality TV to a whole new dimension by embarking on the biggest venture to hit Sri Lankan TV stations since the discovery of air waves – Derana Real Leader. Targeting youth between the ages of 18 & 24, the show struck an instant chord with TV audiences around the country with its imaginative challenges and inventive tasks. Testing competitors on everything from corporate know-how and professionalism to physical strength and mental agility, the programme focuses on finding the best and most dynamic individual for a Star class job opportunity as a Management Trainee in one of Sri Lanka’s blue chip companies. The winner of Real Leader will also receive Rs. 10 la khs in prize money, a brand new vehicle and a fully paid part-time MBA from a recognized university as well as overseas training in Leadership & Management.

The final candidates, chosen from amongst 10,000 entries early this year, will face a grueling 150 days in front of 16 surveillance cameras that will be recording non stop as they pit their wits, skill and talent against each other in a thrilling game of survival. Judged by Sri Lankan professionals who are themselves leaders in their respective fields, participants will have to prove their team spirit, sportsmanship, personal presentation, entrepreneurial skills, courage and creativity as well as leadership skills to be adjudged the winner. Powered by a versatile team of producers and technicians working on the most sophisticated editing systems, Derana Real Leader is a fast paced, action packed programme designed to separate the amateurs from the professionals, and the followers from the Real Leaders.
