For the past 4 years, TV Derana has been hosting the local segment for the most prestigious and glamorous beauty pageant in the world, Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World. The channel will yet again render its support for the 5th consecutive year in choosing Sri Lanka’s representative who would be taking our country’s glory to the world.

This would be the 62nd Miss World pageant. Around 120 contestants are expected to compete at the event and it is also said to be the biggest Miss World pageant in the history of the event in terms of participation.

Entries for the pageant are open now for girls between the age group of 17-24 with a minimum height of 5’4. The best 12 will be chosen for the pageant. A team of experts from the fields of fashion and beauty have been chosen to carry out suitable training programmes for all contestants aspiring to be crowned Miss Sri Lanka and later Miss World.
